Who holds the compass
Portolan is a method before it is a platform.
Portolan was not built by a software company. It was designed inside the practice of The Pine, alongside the family enterprises and founders it serves, and it carries the same discipline: listening before interpretation, measure before movement, direction before speed.
Every module — the Helm, the Walkman, the Moka, the Sextant, the War Room — exists because a real mandate required it. What is recorded, calibrated and decided inside Portolan is what the work itself produces, nothing more.
Behind the platform stands a person, not an organisation chart.
The Founder
Antonino Fischetti is the founder of The Pine and the author of Growing for Generations, the book from which the PINE method — Passage, Intelligence, New Markets, Equilibrium — takes its course. His work accompanies family enterprises through transitions, growth and the decisions that shape continuity across generations.
